North Lake Shore Drive Penthouse
Chicago, IL
This vintage co-op building originally designed by Huszagh and Hill and built by Avery Brundage in 1926 is known for its French Chateau-style roof. The renovation of this penthouse apartment retained some of the original details; the oak beams and brackets and fireplace mantel were rumored to have originally come from a Chateau in the Loire region. The client's eclectic collection of art and furniture was complimented by a few custom pieces such at the Ruhlmann inspired console in the living room.
